FlyMi improves efficiency
It’s now almost three years ago that a Swiss company, the First Login AG, thought it must be possible to use the Internet as a
useful platform to make the air ambulance business more efficient. In 2007, after more than two years of development, FLYMI was
born. According to the designers, FLYMI has many unique features that include, for instance, the geographic database, which can
find empty legs on a worldwide basis. Andreas Stauffer, president of the First Login AG, says FLYMI ‘guarantees high-level
efficiency’ for those who use it for their daily business: “The FLYMI community is getting bigger every month. Everybody who sees
the networking advantages behind our tool knows that transparency could be one of the keys to success in the air ambulance business.
It wasn’t the thought of competition that’s behind FLYMI. It was co-operation.” He explained that FLYMI’s aim is to ‘accelerate the
early stage communication’, adding: “We know that the telephone is not replaceable and we won’t replace it. But there is no need to
start requests by phone, this is something FLYMI can or should do.”
(ITIJ June 2008)
Since FLYMI launched his flight auction tool last year, many parties have already registered in our unique tool. We have clients from all over the world although the majority actually focuses Europe. That is why FLYMI took part in the ITIC in Oxford on May 14th-15th 2008. Retrospectively, we made the same expierence as in Venice 2007: We got interesting new input and suggestions for improvement, which we are still looking forward to implement. Furthermore we took the chance to speak with interested auditors in person and could win them for a live presentation of the tool. True to the motto: "Look and see" we could win several new users. By now, 23 assistances and 22 suppliers have already registered and we are still growing!
